How My Life Changed?
Little did I know that my life was about to go through another transformation. This transformation started at the 2017 Creal Family Reunion.
I had no idea encouraging my sister to host the next 2019 Creal Family Reunion in Nashville, Tennessee, would lead me to discover a new passion for researching and blogging my family history, and designing websites.
I am one of those people who can go from follower to leader or from leader to follower.
In the summer of 2018,
But at that time, I couldn’t have known I would lose my mother, relocate to Nashville, Tennessee, plan and host the 2019 Creal Family Reunion, and I would be writing my about page.
When it was time to write the Family History,
I realized I couldn’t write what I did not know. I didn’t know enough to write about my Creal Family History. I was at a loss, my mother had recently passed, and I knew of some history she had shared with me, but not enough to write her grandparent’s story.
I started researching but was coming up with very little information. Then, I started interviewing family members, and guess what?
I was nearly panicking, so!
Family members shared with me they did not know the Creal Family History either. At that moment, I was determined to know about my ancestors.
So, I came up with the idea
Each family member should write their story to but in a book. The book would be called Our Story (Creal Story) and would be published for future generations.
Believe it or not, I attempted to write this history about six months before the reunion. But, as the reunion grew closer and closer,
Little did I know, back in 2017, my life would go through a significant transformation during the Creal Family Reunion in Illinois.
I still had no information so,
I came up with the idea to use the one from the 2015 Creal Reunion written by my cousin from the Devan branch.
Without having my mother,
Who was a wealth of information, I felt very much alone with my new passion (Getting2theRoots) and the journey I was attempting to conquer.
After nearly two years of researching my mother’s paternal family,
I have made some exciting discoveries.
But the drive-in me was so overwhelming to know my ancestors, and I deeply regretted my journey didn’t start while my parents were still here.
